Our School
Message from the Principal
On behalf of our faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to Woodlake Elementary… home of the Pelicans! Our theme for the 2025-2026 school year is Lights, Camera, Leaders. Throughout the year, we will highlight learning and leadership in our students, faculty, and community. We are focused on knowing our students as individuals and prioritize their safety, engagement, and achievement on a daily basis.
I am pleased to share that our school was recognized as a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School- a distinction awarded to schools demonstrating exceptional academic performance and overall excellence. This achievement reflects the hard work of our students, the commitment of our faculty and staff, and the strong support from our families. Together we've build a culture of high standards and continuous growth that we will carry into the new school year.
Our students’ success is dependent on a strong home/school connection. We encourage you to explore our website and become familiar with our handbook and calendar. Check back often for updated information throughout the year. Please take a moment and discuss information with your child as appropriate to involve and engage them. Our PTA is very active and provides many opportunities to volunteer on a regular basis. Visit Woodlake Elementary PTA Website or Facebook page for more information on how to become involved.
We are very happy to have your children with us at Woodlake. Please contact me anytime with questions or concerns at Kristen.winget@stpsb.org. Looking forward to a wonderful 2025-2026 school year, supporting and celebrating our kids doing big things!
With sincere appreciation,
Kristy Winget, M. Ed. NBCT
